Nature provides us with peace and comfort. As a textile print designer, Kristen Robb encourages you to capture the timeless beauty, intricacy, and splendour found in nature.
This is why she only uses natural dyes and inks, derived from native Irish plants. Using natural dyes and inks derived from these plants, the work is infused with the range of colours and fresh scents naturally produced by these materials. This class will use cotton fabric and natural dyes to explore the world of colour that plants have to offer. No previous experience is needed, just a love and excitement for nature!
About Kristen:
My name is Kristen Robb. I am a regenerative textile print designer and natural dyer. I hold a BA in Textile Art, Design and Fashion from Ulster University and an MA in Regenerative Design from the University of the Arts London. I am deeply passionate about both my practice and the natural world that inspires it. My work involves close engagement with native Irish flora, creating pieces that reflect the beauty and uniqueness of our environment. By combining science communication, activism, and creative practice, I aim to encourage deeper, more thoughtful connections between people and nature.
