Suaimhneas - Lowli and Julie O'Sullivan

STRICTLY 18+ - BYO

Our Autumn programme kicks off with an evening of beautiful, calming music from two world class musicians and long-time friends of the Duncairn

Lōwli is the music of Roisin Lowry, a composer and musician hailing from Galway, Ireland. Her music, an enchanting blend of elegant piano arrangements, delicate strings and haunting vocals, has charmed and captivated audiences around the country. Described by the Irish Times as “neat spookiness with beautifully arranged melodies”, her work bears elements of neoclassical and dark folk. Her work has been influenced by artists such as Agnes Obel and Olafur Arnalds.

Lōwli has performed on stages at Other Voices, Ireland Music Week & The Galway Arts Festival, to name a few. In 2023, she performed a sold out headline show in Dublin’s renowned Smock Alley Theatre. Her music has been played on RTE Radio 1, BBC Radio and more, as has been featured on the RTE Radio 1 Recommends List. Lōwli's single 'Worlds Above Us' was selected to soundtrack Tourism Ireland’s global campaign ‘Ireland Unrushed’ in 2025.

Lōwli has recently written and recorded her debut album, which is set for release later this year.

Best known as one half of the now-disbanded Les SalAmandas, Julie O'Sullivan brings West Cork to Belfast. Her folk-inspired guitar and vocals are sure to help you to relax and retreat as part of this evening's Suaimhneas.
