John McSherry's second solo outing, "The Seven Suns", is a musical journey into the heart of ancient Ireland, richly inlaid with elements both personal and national, the mundane and the mythical. Full of original and exciting new compositions by McSherry and featuring musicians such as Sean óg Graham, Mike McGoldrick and Niamh Dunne, the album explores Ireland from a global perspective, its key place in the ancient world, and the knowledge, wisdom and preoccupations of the people that inhabited it. Featuring pristine production, innovative arrangements, and masterful musicianship, "The Seven Suns" is more than just a follow-up to the award-winning debut, "Soma" – it surpasses it. 

McSherry has been a major figure in Irish music for almost 20 years. He is hailed as one of the finest exponents of the art of uilleann piping in the world today, described as a'true master' by Irish music Magazine. He is a composer, producer, arranger and established studio session musician of world renown, having recorded and performed with the likes of Sinead O Connor, Rod Stewart, Nanci Griffith, Gary Kemp, The Corrs and Clannad – gracing the latter's Grammy award winning album 'Landmarks'. A founder member of top traditional music bands Lunasa, Tamalin and Donal Lunny's Coolfin in the 1990s, John has subsequently produced a string of critically acclaimed and innovative albums, both solo and collaborative and continues to push the boundaries of Irish music with his current bands, The Soma Band, At First Light, The Olllam and Ulaid.

Donal Lunny needs no introduction. He is an absolute legend and is popularly regarded as being central to the renaissance of Irish Music
over the last four decades. Since the seventies Dónal has been the driving force behind some of the most innovative bands to emerge from Ireland including The Bothy Band, Planxty and Moving Hearts.  

Michael McGoldrick is another major influential figure in Irish music. He has been a member of groundbreaking bands such as Lúnasa, Flook, Caparcaille and more. As well as releasing innovative and critically acclaimed solo albums, he has contributed to countless albums by artists such as Kate Rusby, Sharon Shannon, Afro Celt Sound System, Eddi Reader, and many more and now tours the world as a member of Mark Knofler's band

Tony Byrne is a guitarist much in high demand. He has performed and recorded with many traditional artists including Julie Fowlis, Sharon Shannon, Danú, Paul Brady, Matt Molloy and At First Light and has also ventured beyond trad into other genres with the likes of Bela Fleck and Tommy Emmanuel. His versatility provides the group with a strong backbone.

  
Dónal O'Connor multi-instrumentalist, Dónal O'Connor has established himself as one of Ireland's leading producers. He has played and
recorded with the likes of Liam O'Maonlaí, Moya Brennan, Davy Spillane, Steve Cooney, and many more. Having inherited a musical legacy of at least five generations of fiddle playing, he has toured the world with a number of bands including Lá Lugh, At First Light, Ulaid,and the Gaelic song super group A Stór Mo Chroí.
