The Children’s heartbeat trust is a Northern Ireland charity that supports children diagnosed with congenital heart disease and heart conditions in Northern Ireland.
Congenital Heart Disease is the most common birth defect, affecting around 200 babies born in NI each year. Conditions range from mild to severe and life limiting. CHT is a fantastic charity that offers so much support to children born with CHD.
Through fundraising and donations they provide medical equipment, toys and maintain accommodation for parents at Clark Clinic, NI’s only regional heart unit at the Royal Belfast hospital for Sick Children.
Children’s Heartbeat Trust also provides emotional support for children and parents affected by CHD through family support groups, a youth service programme, counselling, music therapy and family fun days.
