Glengormley School of Traditional Irish Music is a very successful community arts group based in Edmund Rice College, Hightown Rd, Glengormley . GSoTM provides classes in a wide number of instruments.  Fiddle, Tin Whistle, Flute, Uileann Pipes, Scottish Bagpipes, Button Accordion, Concertina, Banjo, Mandolin, Harp.  Bodhran, Ballad singing and Guitar. Various levels are offered from absolute beginner to advanced level. There are regular workshops and the school is heavily involved in many local community events.  Pupils come from all over the greater Belfast/South Antrim area but mainly from Glengormley and North Belfast. Anyone with an interest in learning Traditional Irish Music is catered for and pupils   range from 6 to 60 years of age.

Now in its 14th year the School is a totally voluntary body. GSoTM have  been able to access funding from the Arts Council NI which has allowed it to provide high quality tuition and  keep costs to its pupils at as an affordable level as possible.  The School does however have to also fundraise and has been able to depend on support from its many friends in the local traditional musician community to help in fundraising. The Rare Aul Stuff, have offered to support the school by hosting this fundraising concert). The event will be a tribute to the late Luke Kelly of the Dubliners and will feature Joe McKeague   singing many familiar songs from Luke. Supported by young musicians from GSoTM and taking place in the great setting of and best place for a trad gig in Belfast in the Duncairn the event should be one not to be missed
