This exhibition is the culmination of Norma’s participatory photo-textile project engaging with rural and intercultural groups.
The project sought out the personal stories behind the headlines of ‘The Troubles’. Life, memory, art -— they’re interconnected.
Having grown up here in the ‘70s and ‘80’s, this project is inspired by all that happened behind the headlines. The human spirit has both survived and thrived during our troubled past.
Through creative reminiscence, photographic images, artifacts and creative consultation, personal accounts of life have been triggered, recorded and informed the new photo-textile pieces created by Norma.
