The Duncairn is thrilled to bring you another free film screening in partnership with Cinema for Peace! This month's film is a short called Azaad, by Rahul Chittella.
Set against the socio-political backdrop of present day India, Azaad tells the story of the dysfunctional relationship between a father and his son, within 48 hours of the father going missing. It is a film dedicated to all the writers who have been silenced, a story shown very creatively, revolving around the family of a writer who expresses his anger in his columns weekly.
The film was screened at the UNESCO’S World Press Freedom day. It is about the freedom of speech.
