Arts for All through The Inspire Project, an initiative funded by the Health Trust, have delivered a series of multi medium arts workshops in local community venues throughout Belfast.
The Inspire Project aimed to improve the skills and confidence of people with learning disability through the arts and creativity. Arts for All, with 8 professional artists, worked with 90 participants developing awareness of the wide range of arts available to everyone, breaking down barriers, promoting mutual and shared understanding within communities, while creating links across the four quarters of the city.
This work is an inspirational representation of how the arts can be used as a tool to engage all people, of all abilities, from all walks of life. How it can be used to express emotions and open up a world of communication that perhaps previously might have been lost in translation.
